My name is Chris, and I've been in Las Vegas with my family for over twenty years. Raised three kids through the desert summers, the surprisingly cold winters and throughout all the years when the city was changing as fast as our family. 

We know where the locals go, what's worth the drive, and what gets old fast. This site started as a way to share that — and it grew from there.

For Las Vegas families

We've raised our kids here for over twenty years (they're not kids anymore!), and somewhere along the way Las Vegas became the place that overcame the vow of "we're only staying here two years, then we're out!". Many of you know what we're talking about! Lol

We locals know this city in a way that nobody else does. What's working for your family might be exactly what another Vegas parent has been looking for. That's the idea — locals helping locals, with two decades of legwork already done. Most of the best stuff, eventually, makes it into the tour guides. We catch it first! 

If you're visiting

You're in good hands. Las Vegas is badly misunderstood as a family destination. The Strip is a small slice of a large, genuinely livable city — and most visitors never see any of it. Red Rock Canyon is thirty minutes from the hotels. Mount Charleston gets real snow. There's a children's museum downtown that will keep you and your kids occupied for hours. The honest local's version of Vegas is a lot better than the brochure version.
